The nature of this action is to modify the firm fixed price task order HC101318F0243 from contract GS00Q17NRD4014, a General Services Administration (GSA) Complex Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) Solutions (CS3) contract vehicle, to increase the order ceiling.
The RFI is to Industry on behalf of the US Army’s Product Lead (PdL) Unified Network Capabilities and Integration (UNCI), regarding the use of commercial SATCOM As A Service (SAAS) to provide the Warfighter/units global access to DoD/Army Sustainment Information Systems. The Government is requesting information on industry capability to modernize 298 Combat Track II (CTII) systems to be Integrated Waveform (IW), Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) or commercial SATCOM compatible. The effort will include a hardware and software solution leveraging current Commercial Off The Shelf products. Government owned software is highly desired.
MCSC, Quantico VA has a requirement to procure OASIS to provide warfighting units an end-to-end capability, from user terminal equipment to a DoD network point of presence (POP), that complements existing Commercial SATCOM (COMSATCOM) and Military SATCOM (MILSATCOM) capabilities.
The tasking will include analysis of commercial satcom solutions and the development and deployment of a prototype COMSATCOM solution to augment the Microwave RF sites in Alaska, and withstand the harsh environment. Intent is to develop requirements for the NextGen enhancements of the Rescue 21 program.
The intent is to increase the number of communications pathways by developing a commercial satellite communications option for the KC-135 platform to achieve the resiliency and adaptability necessary to remain relevant across the spectrum of competition. The system should employ a real-time Ku-band commercial SatCom antenna to allow beyond line-of-sight fast internet capability.
