Kennedy Space Center (KSC), provides notice that the Agency plans to issue an Announcement for Proposals (AFP), seeking proposals to lease KSC’s Vehicle Assembly Building, High Bay 1 (VAB HB1) to provide commercial space launch services, including launch vehicle processing, integration, and testing.Only United States Commercial Providers, as defined in the Space Commerce Act, 51 U.S.C. § 50101(7), will be eligible to submit a proposal.NASA will continue

Such use is also authorized under the Commercial Space Launch Act, 51 U.S.C. 50913(a)(1), which encourages the acquisition by the private sector of launch or reentry property, and launch or reentry services, of the U.S. Government that is excess or otherwise not needed for public use.
