Description: The project includes the supply of equipment as specified in the Contract Documents. Installation of the equipment will be performed by others under a separate contract as described in the Contract Documents.
The effort includes building to design attachment structures, electronic switching devices and wiring harnesses in accordance with design documents and the relevant MIL-STDs to support installation of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) line replaceable units (LRU) for a communications system upgrade to the B-52 aircraft.
The contract will be for the procurement of one commercial Ku-band ground station satellite communications system, one Radio Frequency (RF) equipment upgrade, and incidental support services in support of the NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division. Globecomm is the only manufacturer capable of providing a solution that meets the requirements.
