To meet its national security mission, OST has a critical need to maintain a spare and replacement parts/components inventory for the Colt M4 Carbine weapon. Due to the increase in missions and extensive training that OST FAs undertake to maintain their tactical proficiency in using the Colt M4 Carbine, OST cannot procure the M4 parts/components that are not manufactured, inspected, and tested in accordance with the Colt M4 Carbine TDP.
