The Marblemount District of North Cascades NP has a need for backcountry composting toilets to support visitor waste disposal.
The course aims to: 1) Provide an in-depth introduction to backyard and community composting, and 2) Prepare students to support composting and materials management projects in their communities and to teach about effective composting. The DEC’s Solid Waste Program seeks proposals for a contractor to develop, publicize, and host/teach the Master Composter Course. The DEC can contribute a maximum of $35,000 each year the course is offered.
