REQUEST FOR LETTERS OF INTENT TO BID Letters of Intent to Bid will be received by Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington (AACCW) for provision of congregate and home-delivered meals including COPES home-delivered meals, to persons who are age 60 and over. Nutrition services provide nutritionally sound and satisfying meals (1/3 RDA) in a congregate group setting, or home-delivered meals to those homebound by illness or disability.
Though nutrient delivery (i.e., meals) is a form of nutrition intervention, for the purposes of DSAAPD Congregate Nutrition Services, “meals” are distinguished from other allowable intervention services as follows: Home-Delivered Nutrition Home-Delivered Nutrition Services provide meals and related nutrition services to older individuals that are homebound.
(CCE) The County routinely requires an average of approximately 250 hot, frozen and/or shelf stable meals a day for approximately 257 days, an estimated 70% of which will be home-delivered meals. The types of meals are - hot (fresh), frozen, cold and shelf stable (breakfast and dinners) for both congregate and home delivery programs.
