The Project includes decommissioning and removal of the old storage tank, construction of a new steel 400,000-gallon storage tank on the existing foundation, pump control upgrades and fire hardening of the roof of the U6 pump station. To meet system demands for the University and protect water supply pumps while the main reservoir is being replaced, a 40,000-gallon maintenance tank will be installed as part of the Project.
