The canopy length is approximately 435 feet long. Approximately 300 feet of the sidewalk will be replaced with new concrete slabs.

This was done as part of a citywide package of Quality of Life construction projects (under the program name of "Norman Forward"). There was also an expansion to the original tennis pro shop in the early 2000s and the construction of the new tensile fabric structure for the indoor tennis courts in 2018 as part of the Norman Forward program.
