INTRODUCTION: The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting quotations and subsequently awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for Welch Allyn Monitoring Equipment for the Department of Veterans Affairs Long Beach Health Care System. This requirement is classified under NAICS code 334510 which has a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
Welch Allyn provided a sole source letter stating they own the proprietary technology for hospital-wide connectivity/integration services of CVSM, CIWS and CSM to the ERM (electronic medical record). Zablocki VA Medical Center. The Connex is a proprietary Welch Allyn software solution that automates the vitals documentation process by sending the data directly to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
