Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, has a need for Tainter Gate Drive Shaft Maintenance Services at Tuttle Creek Lake, Kansas. The work includes mechanical alignment of the spillway Tainter Gate Drive Shafts and incidental related Tainter Gate work. The spillway section of Tuttle Creek consists of 18 Tainter Gates that are driven by 19 individual 2 HP motors (18 primary, 1 auxiliary).
Wolf Creek Dam: Fabricate ten (10) new spillway tainter gates & the lifting machinery equipment. Center Hill Dam: Fabricate eight (8) new spillway tainter gates & the lifting machinery equipment. 2.) Remove and dispose of the existing spillway tainter gates, existing lifting equipment, and lifting equipment machinery bases. 3.) Construct a work platform to install the new spillway tainter gates. 4.)
