The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plum Island Animal Disease Center is conducting market research to support a requirement for custom gene synthesis services. USDA/ARS is seeking business sources, including small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, 8(a) certified companies and other than small businesses.

The FADRU has a requirement for gene synthesis to conduct molecular biology research and plasmid biorepository at Plum Island Animal Disease Center. Included in this requirement is custom gene synthesis, and gene point mutations. The proposed contract will support all gene synthesis needs. Individual requirements for gene synthesis will be submitted to the contractor.
