This work involves sorting human platelets from the animal platelets by florescent antibody labeling of the cell surface of the human platelets and analyzing through a flow cytometer. This work requires an automated benchtop flow cytometry system. Our current flow Cytometer is old and discontinued by the company. As a result, it may no longer be supported for technical performance, parts, and Maintenance.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Cancer Research Center (CCR), Clinical Research Correlatives Core (CRCC) has a need for one (1) Brand Name Cytek Aurora 5 Laser Spectral Flow Cytometer with and Automated Sample Loader (ASL).  

Description of equipment requirements: Becton, Dickinson and Company Automated Flow Cytometer A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.

This is for the reagents and consumables to perform routine flow cytometry assays on a VA owned FACSCanto II flow cytometer (SN: V96100771) with automated loader (SN: F06500621). The FACSCanto with automated loader currently owned by the VA is manufactured by BD Biosciences Immunocytometry Systems. BD Bioscience is the exclusive manufacturer and supplier of the BD FACSCanto, instrument, and reagents.

The Cytex Aurora Laser Flow Cytometer System also comes with the automated sample loader, basic start-up 2 day on site training and a one-year warranty. Government Scientific Sources Inc. is the only SB authorized distributer for the OEM Cytek Biosciences Inc. available in the USA for the Cytex Aurora Laser Flow Cytometer System. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO).
