New KYTC Class III Channel Lining will be placed along the crest and downstream slope of the dam to provide armoring against erosion and to raise the overall height of the dam approximately 30”. Additionally, a 12-feet wide access road shall be established along the entire length of the dam crest on top of the new rip rap. This dam crest access road will be constructed to a minimum thickness of 6-inches using KYTC No.4 stone.
This is due to recent rehabilitation and paving to the dam crest that raised the crest several inches to several feet across the crest.Site Access: Access to the site is available via Sidney Wells Bridge Road to Triverfield Road (See Attachment 1) from NY Route 357. The access road is a privately owned and maintained road with keyed/gated access.
