The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Facilities Management Office (FMO) for the Alaska Army National Guard, is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide snow plowing, snow removal, sanding and ice control services for Bryant Airfield, Camp Carroll, and Camp Denali areas on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, as described in the attached Invitation to Bid. Each area may result in a separate contract.

This project is within an area that was assessed and prioritized by the Denali Borough, by Fairbanks Area Forestry, and the City of Anderson.  Fuel breaks are designed to remove large accumulations of flammable vegetations, primarily black spruce, and assist firefighters with future tactical operations. 

Coordinate with Rockland Green and the operator (WeCare/Denali) of the Mulch Processing Area to establish daily work zones, vehicular patterns, temporary traffic barriers, removal of materials, delivery of materials, temporary stockpile locations, and other coordination efforts to minimize disruption to ongoing mulching operations. 4.
