The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) annually hosts a Department meeting and celebration (DEC Day) on a week-day in mid-September that draws between 175-225 staff. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Division of Water will be convening a meeting of the Human health Criteria Technical Workgroup on April 12, 2017.The workgroup is advisory in nature.  The workgroup is discussing technical information that may affect revisions in Title 18, chapter 70 of the Alaska Administrative Code to state water quality standards for the protection of human health.Workgroup membership is by invitation.

The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 224, January 2018, of the Alaska Administrative Code.
