The County is currently working with 4Creeks Architects on a design to repurpose this house into a working fire station. One of the needed elements of this project is the development of a radio system for this building. Attached are the design plans for the facility. As you can see from the plans, we have designated a radio closet area on both the upper and lower floors of this facility.

The overall goal of the project is to produce a set of design plans and estimated construction costs for improvements to the roadway shoulder along a distinct section of the roadway which will allow for safer pedestrian travel in this area.

Specifically, the order requires: The City of Mequon shall install and maintain pedestrian signals at the crossing of the Ozaukee Interurban Trail with Mequon Road (WIS 167) interconnected with the warning devices at the crossing of the WSOR tracks with Mequon Road in accordance with the City’s design plans by August 1, 2024.
