SummaryThis project entails replacement of the fire escape stairs on the exterior of the building and associated work, including but not limited to:• Removal and disposal of the existing fire escape stairs• Removal of windows• Filling in the window space with a brick exterior• Removal of the rear entry doors• Installation of new rear entry doors• Structural repairs to the concrete structure 1.2.
The work will consist of replacing existing exterior fire escape stairs with new stairs in compliance with 2012 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Code and NFPA 1, Fire Code. The stairs will be contained in a new stud wall and veneer framed enclosure attached to the buildings with a completed envelope.
