The proposed contract requires the identification and mapping of current bark beetle infestations in the Prince George Forest District using helicopter surveys. Helicopter surveys are one method to identify priority locations for treatment, and to detect and monitor the extent of the current infestation.

The Province requires a qualified Contractor to provide mountain pine beetle (MPB) ground survey and control activities within the Calgary Forest Area and Cypress Hills. Please refer to the “Mountain Pine Beetle Detection and Management in Alberta” for further information of what MPB ground survey and control entails. Contract duration The estimated contract period will be 5 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/10/09.
