****************************************************************************************************************************************************The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for Explosive Detection System (EDS) Performance Based Logistics (PBL) services and activities for the maintenance for out of warranty checked baggage equipment, including, but not limited to: preventive maintenance
EDS (Explosive Detection System) Recapitalization Project will be replacing the old EDS machines with the newest EDS machines, the CTX 9800. It will not be a one-for-one replacement since the new machines can screen bags at a higher rate than the existing CTX 9000 machines.
Priority will be given to systems that have not been evaluated previously by the Explosive Detection Equipment (EDE) Program at NSWC IHEODTD, or if previously evaluated, priority will go to systems that have undergone significant hardware and software improvements.
