The improvements include clearing and grubbing, erosion control, concrete walkways, site furnishing, play area equipment, fabric canopy shade structure, play area concrete ramp, play area wood fiber, signage, basketball court, parking lot striping, ramp, site furnishing, concrete park sign, archery targets, irrigation system modification and landscaping.

The Arena is covered by a Cabledome structure clad with tensioned membrane panels of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated fiberglass fabric, fiberglass insulation and PVC coated polyester liner/ceiling. The Cabledome consists of a non-triangulated cable and strut network anchored to a perimeter collar ring-beam. The Redbird Arena roof was the first Cabledome structure built in the United States.
