The bathrooms will be completely upgraded with new bathroom fixtures, piping, showers and toilet facilities. The existing HVAC system will be replaced with appropriate system for individual room control. The existing electrical system will be upgraded to allow the facility to handle computers in rooms and prevent spikes and brownouts. Lighting will be improved.
Facilities will be designed to a minimum life of 25 years in accordance with DoD's Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02) including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance.Provide descriptions of your firm's past experience on projects with greater than 95% construction complete or those projects completed within the last seven years which are similar to this project in size and scope.
Life Safety upgrades will provide the appropriate alarm/suppression systems to protect and alert personnel.The modernized facilities will meet all applicable life safety standards. In general, the modernized facilities will have new utility systems including plumbing, HVAC, fire protection sprinklers/alarms, lighting, energy management and controls, public address, security, and information systems.

USACE Louisville District (LRL) intends to award a sole source C-contract to Michael Baker International (MBI) for A/E Services for design refresh of Contract W912QR17D0027, Task Order W912QR19F00281 – Vertical Skills Instruction Facility at Joint Base McGuire-Dix Lakehurst (JBMDL), NJ.The Scope of work will be to refresh the 100% design that was completed in 2022 to verify it meets the current UFC requirements and Building Codes.
Supporting facilities include land learing, paving, general site improvements, and utility connections. Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) and physical security measures have been incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads and parking areas. Sustainability/Energy measures are included.
