This SIR is for the procurement and installation of chain link security fencing and swing gates for fifteen (15) MALSR Light Stations at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), Romulus Michigan.
Furnish all labor, equipment and materials needed to construct approximately fivehundred and fifty (550) linear feet of eight (8) foot high all black chain link fence whichconnects to the Skate Park and run the length of the property line to meet up with thefence proposed above. Fencing to have a man gate in the back and a twenty (20) footwide swing gate where the old Skate Park was.
This federally funded project will construct approximately 2,400 feet of new security fencing and two double swing gates on the south side of the South Tug Road. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The scope of work for this Project consists of the following: Perimeter Fencing and Gates • Clear fence alignment • Construct 8-foot high chain link fence with barbed wire. • Construct 14-foot swing gate and 4-foot pedestrian gates • Place geo-fabric and cobble in existing drainage swale • Seeding - Disturbed unpaved areas will be seeded for erosion control.
Install six- 8 ft. wide double swing gates and two-12 ft. wide double swing gates with 4 inch heavy duty posts. Gate appropriate hinges and latches should be included for each gate. All posts to be set in concrete 42” deep. Fence picket size should be 3/4 inch square.
