In the RIDE ON Bus Fleet Management Plan 2017 to 2025, the size of the fleet and projected capital cost per bus by fiscal year is detailed through FY25 (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025). This Plan includes recommendation for 87 expansion buses for a 102-mile bus rapid transit (“BRT”) network on ten corridors to improve mobility and accessibility throughout the County.
Inspection visits may be made, for example, to follow up on information received from the grantee about an event with significant impact on the project or to analyze whether the grantee has adequately implemented the Fleet Management Plan.
Describe the plan for future competition for the goods or services. Our goal is to have a better fleet management plan moving forward. We need to maintain a more consistent vehicle purchase and rotation management process to ensure that our fleet remains healthy and cost effective. Going forward when we are not in a critical situation we will look to go through a competitive process.
