The Contractor must supply all necessary resources, including labor, equipment, materials, and manuals, for Remedial Maintenance on the Vehicle Management Flights forklift fleet at Dover Air Force Base (DAFB), DE. They should also offer towing services if on-site repairs are not feasible. The Contractor should be located within sixty miles of DAFB to ensure quick response times in emergencies and minimize towing costs.
All brands, classes and sizes of Vehicles and Equipment utilized by the City Fleet may require towing by the Company including, but not limited, to: motorcycles, SUVs, sedans, pickups, police cars, light duty industrial vehicles, medium duty and heavy-duty trucks, fire apparatus, trailers, scooters, forklifts, and construction equipment.
Preventive Maintenance & Inspection (PMI), Repairs and towing of equipment will be performed as described in the PWS. Also, load tests and safety inspections on all overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts and man-lifts are annually required IAW manufacturers recommendations.
In addition to any equipment required by Section 12-106 of the Flint City Code, any non-flatbed wrecker responding to a call under this contract must be equipped with dollies and a shovel and broom for accident scene cleanup. 4. The Proposer shall furnish suitable equipment for handling vehicles in the storage area. The Proposer shall not use forklift trucks to move vehicles impounded and stored incident to this contract. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, part, tools, equipment, travel, transportation expenses and other related costs necessary to provide for the relocation, rigging, craning of two (2) palletized forklifts from building 112 (B112) to building 165 (B165), place them in an upright position, install batteries, and test for basic proper forklift operation.
The following City vehicles are not included in this contract: Fire Trucks, including Ladder Trucks and Rescue Trucks Garbage Trucks Knuckle Boom Trucks Street Sweepers Dump Trucks, including Single and Tandem Axle Trucks Squad Work Trucks Recycling Trucks Bucket Trucks Bidders must have comprehensive automobile liability insurance and garage keepers legal liability insurance in the limits as set forth in the contract documents.
