Beach compatible material will be placed into the Fort Pierce Beach project area identified below, while all non-beach compatible material will be placed into the Fort Pierce Ocean Dredge Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), located five nautical miles southeast of the Fort Pierce Harbor entrance.
Due to the extensive hardbottom areas located offshore of the fill area, offshore pipeline access to the beach site is prohibited. Offloading will be done inside the South Jetty of Fort Pierce Inlet, as shown on the plans. A staging area and beach access to the project fill area is located at the end of Seaway Drive and near the south jetty offloading area.
