The Alaska Department of Transportation will hold a Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan Freight Advisory Committee (FAC) Meeting on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Public Review Draft Freight Plan. The Alaska Department of Transportation will hold a joint Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan Advisory Committee (STAC) and Freight Advisory Committee (FAC) Meeting on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 1:30-3 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to present and discuss the key findings from the Financial Technical Memorandum and driving factors that may influence transportation during the planning time frame.

The successful Responder will collaborate primarily with MnDOT and MNIT but should anticipate additional collaborative efforts with and/or feedback from the Minnesota Freight Advisory Committee (“MFAC”), Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (“DEED”), transportation and freight industry experts, and other project stakeholders. The proposed alternatives analysis include performing a traffic engineering analysis, transportation area study to choose a preferred intersection improvement solution, the public outreach/participation include soliciting public input and comment on possible intersection solutions, coordinating a technical advisory team consisting of freight advocates, local jurisdictions, transportation professionals, transit representatives, ped/bike representatives
