This consolidated fuel farm will allow for the relocation of the existing northern self-service fuel farm, additional self-service fuel tanks, fuel truck staging and refilling areas, tanker offloading area, horizontal fuel storage tanks, as well as pad ready sites for future field erected fuel storage tanks. This project will consist of the infrastructure necessary to support the tanks, but not the design or installation of the tanks.

Equipment includes items such as aircraft test equipment, maintenance tools, mobility pallets, and Technical Order 1H60(H) G-21 aircraft equipment such as hoists, seats, spare fuel tanks and exhaust/inlet covers. The project includes demolition of the existing and replacement of above ground fire protection water storage and pumphouse.

The clutch fan shall override the thermostatic variable speed and function as full on automatically in pump mode. The variable speed fan clutch only engages at the amount needed for proper cooling to facilitate improved vehicle performance, cab heating in cold climates, and fuel economy. The fan clutch design shall be fail-safe so that if the clutch drive fails the fan shall engage to prevent engine overheating due to the fan clutch failure.

Heating system shall consist of 2 tubes, each, with combustion chambers air intakes, all necessary hangers and heat shields. Heaters shall combine for a total of a minimum of 125,000 BTU'sExhaust stack shall be equipped with a cap to prevent birds, debris, and precipitation from entering the heating system.ii.

The engine shall be equipped with an exhaust brake, an electric grid air warmer, two stage dry type air cleaner, spin on fuel filter, oil filter. The electrical system shall be 12 volt and incorporate a 160-amp alternator. Transmission The carrier shall be equipped with a 5-speed Automatic transmission, Allison 3500RDS, having 5 forward speeds and 1 reverse speed. Max road speed shall be 55 mph.
