The fume hoods are part of a manifold system with all the exhaust rising to the roof to exhaust fans, with a heat recovery system. The existing ISU Science Laboratory Building has 157 laboratory exhaust fume hoods with a total of 205 fume hood workstations, served by 165 fume hood exhaust air valves. The University now desires to renovate the entire fume hood exhaust system.
