About twenty (20) years ago, it used to be a functional kitchen. The existing systems and kitchen equipment are in the poor condition, very old, or many have been removed. Currently, the kitchen is used as a warm up place for food bought from VA West Los Angeles. This project will reactivate the kitchen so that it is fully functional for the next approximately 25 years.
Kitchen equipment is needed for the Joplin Senior Center to facilitate a fully functional kitchen. This project is being supported with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Development Block Grant, Disaster Recovery grant funding.
