Fire Dept. garage lease space Organization:Town of Canton Department:CANEXEC - Exec Dept Location:EXEC - Exec Office Bulletin Desc:Town of Canton is requesting proposals to lease commercial space to be used as supplemental garage space for the Canton Fire Department. At lease 4500 sq. ft. of space for at least 5 years. Must be located within 3 mile radius of existing Fire Headquarters located at 99 Revere Street.
A. Fire extinguishers and servicing, pest control, and outside trash disposal including provision for the handling of recyclable items such as aluminum cans, cardboard, plastic and paper, if applicable. These responsibilities include providing a dumpster outside and recycling bins as well as a method for the disposal of the recyclable items. These must be emptied on a regular schedule. B. Smoke detectors and a fire alarm system with audible and visual alarm signals are desired. C. All pesticides must be applied by a licensed technician. D. Lighted exit signs. E. Minimum of one (1) bay garage (12’ x 22’, attached preferred)with 8’ x 12’ motorized roll up doors with remote openers and separate air conditioning and heat preferred. The ceiling height should have a minimum of 14’ clearance. Attached secure garage preferred however, a secured garage located within a reasonable distance from office as determined by the State may be acceptable. V. High-quality keyed door locks are required throughout the space.
