The purpose of this Market Research is to identify potential sources that have the skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities required to manufacture and deliver Third Generation Forward Looking Infrared (3GEN FLIR) B-Kits under a Full Rate Production (FRP) contract. The 3GEN FLIR program is currently in the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Phase of the Acquisition Life Cycle.

Third Generation Forward Looking Infrared (3GEN FLIR) Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) B-Kit Program pre-solicitationProduct Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS) has been tasked to conduct an acquisition to develop Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) of the 3GEN FLIR B-Kit to provide the next generation of thermal imaging capability for the U.S.

The purpose of this Market Research is to identify potential sources that have the skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities required to manufacture and deliver the following Horizontal Technology Integration (HTI) Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared (2GF) Systems and Components. The HTI 2GF program provides night vision and targeting capabilities for the Abrams tank platform for both US domestic fleet and FMS customers. 

Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared (2GF) Thermal Receiver Unit (TRU), specific B-Kit components, and spare components.  The Government will only consider sources that can deliver all components on attachment 001.  SEE ATTACHMENT 001 FOR A COMPLETE PARTS LIST.2.    Repair/refurbish of TRUs, TRU Subcomponents, and CCAs stated in #1 above.3.

Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared (2GF) B-Kit components. The Government will only consider sources that can deliver all components listed on Attachment 001.SEE ATTACHMENT 001 FOR THE PARTS LIST2. Repair/refurbish of 2GF B-Kit Components, specifically Afocals, Imager Assemblies, Detector/ Cooler Bench Assemblies (DCB), Standard Advanced Dewar Assembly (SADA) II Optically Improved (OI), and SADA II Non-OI.3.
