Generator Set Radiator Replacement Project Description :The Embassy of the United States of America in Ottawa has a construction requirement for the replacement of a radiator on a generator located at the U.S. Government premises, 490 Sussex Drive, Ottawa.
Inspect radiator cap. Advise if replacement needed.4. Check coolant conditioner concentration.5. Inspect radiator core for restriction and leakage.6. Check engine coolant heater for proper operation. Remove cover and check for damaged wiring and poor connections. Record engine temperature.7. Inspect engine coolant heater outlet hoses for deterioration.8. Annual PM of Emergency/Standby generators per Table-1 ATSs Maintenance and Inspection per Table-1 Fluid laboratory testing Replacement of maintenance free batteries on generators & generator controls/Switch Gear as needed and per Table-1 Replacement of radiator coolant, hoses, belts, engine thermostat as needed and per Table-1 The installation of fuel meters on each generators supply and return lines (as needed).

Five-year cooling system component replacement to include flushing of the radiator interior, replacement of antifreeze, belts, hoses, radiator caps, thermostat(s) and gasket replacement at 5-year installation or replacement anniversaries, please see Attachment C for due dates/completion dates. The OEM radiator is specifically designed to match the generator's diesel engine's mechanical and physical specifications. PEV is requesting a sole brand purchase because PEV requires a direct replacement of the radiator when making repairs. Substituting a radiator other than the exact replacement, can potentially cause the engine to overheat and cause other unforeseen problems.
