The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for the issuance of a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with Calzoni SRL for the procurement of Advanced Stabilized Glide Slope Indicator (ASGSI) and associated repair parts.
The contractor shall provide MK-1F Capture Effect Glide Slope and Localizer antennae, Instrument Landing System (ILS) maintenance at Naval Base Ventura County, NOLF San Nicolas Island.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for support of the Advanced Stabilized Glide Slope Indicator (ASGSI) system to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this equipment, Calzoni SRL (CAGE A0461).
The PAPI system is the current standard Visual Glide Slope Indicator (VGSI) consisting of four light boxes arranged perpendicular to the edge of the runway. It projects a pattern of red and white lights that provide visual approach slope information. The PAPI lamps must be manufactured in accordance with attached FAA Specification FAA-E-2576B. Known manufacturer is Osram Sylvania Inc., P/N 58708 or 64382 HLX-C.
The ASGSI is a stabilized optical landing aid which the helicopter pilot uses to visually establish and maintain the proper glide slope for approach and landing during day and night ops. The AFDL system components are to support the higher-level assembly for the flight deck suit of lights.
