Successful Applicants awarded a Grant will be eligible for startup funds not exceeding twenty-five percent (25%) of total budget. Additional details are included in the Scope of Activities section. 1.2 GRANT AMOUNT AND DURATION Agency anticipates the award of approximately 25 Grant Agreements (each a "Grant") from this RFA.
The District intends to enter into multiple grant agreements for summer programs. Grant funding is available June 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. Final expenditures must be made by September 30, 2021.
YDD, at its sole discretion may offer to extend a Grant Agreement beyond the initial expiration date, dependent on the Grantee's performance and availability of funding for subsequent biennia. The scope of the Grantee services and deliverables for the Grant Agreement are described in the RFA document Section 3 - Scope of Work. The Agency and Grant Awardee will negotiate the final Work Plan to be included in the Grant Agreement.
Agency anticipates awarding multiple grants from this RFA with a maximum allowable funding available up to $150,000. Regardless of award date, Grants will be made effective August 1, 2020 and will expire June 30, 2021. All funding provided under the resulting Grants must be expended and claimed no later than June 30, 2021.
A successful Applicant may use grant funds to pay ancillary costs associated with the purchase of new or replacement equipment, such as taxes or installation costs, and those ancillary costs may be included with the price of equipment in order to reach the Application minimum amount of $1,001. USDA has expressed preference that grant funds be used only on tangible property.
Proposals should provide information on the following: - Experience writing local, state and federal grants, including NSF grants - Grant proposal development - Grant prospect research and identification - Proven record of successful grant submissions - Ability to work on several grants at one time - Provide oversight/assistance on grant reporting/compliance - Experience in working with institutions of higher education, specifically community
