The GMD Program Element integrates multiple sensors, communications systems, fire control capabilities, and Ground-Based Interceptors (GBIs) to detect, track, and destroy intermediate and long-range ballistic missile threats during the midcourse phase of flight. The GMD Program Element is composed of two main components: GBIs and Ground Systems (GS), along with required communications, support equipment, training equipment, and facilities.

Purpose:The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is conducting market research for the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program Ground Test Replan.  The information contained herein only initiates communication with industry in order to assess market potential. No solicitation document exists at this time. This Request for Information (RFI) constitutes no Government obligation to procure these items or issue a solicitation.

Approved for Public Release 21-MDA-11035 (21 Dec 21)The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is issuing this Request For Proposal (RFP) for the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) System Integration, Test, and Readiness (SITR) Program.  The SITR contractor will be responsible for integration and testing of an integrated weapon system to include the Next Generation Interceptor, GMD Weapon System, and In-Service Fleet. 

In accordance with the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) System Integration, Test, and Readiness (SITR) Program Solicitation Section L-1.4, the Government has amended portions of the GMD SITR Solicitation (Amendment 0001). All terms and conditions that are not amended remain unchanged. Interested offerors may only submit questions or comments regarding any aspect of Amendment 0001. See Section L-1.0 of the GMD SITR Solicitation.  

Under this new contract, the contractor will design, develop, test, and field the next Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) Program.
