The 377 MSG/PKB at Kirtland Air Force Base seeks sources to empty and recover halon, conduct hydrostatic testing and recharge, on 150 lb., Halon Fire Extinguishers, which have become unserviceable expired hydrostatic test dates. All work and services will be in accordance with National Fire Protection Association Standards (NFPA 10). In accordance with the statement of work.
(ii) Solicitation number FA660623R0006, is hereby issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Halon Fire Extinguisher Service/Maintenance Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). A BPA will be issued without discussions as a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
This project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the replacement of a Halon fire suppression system with Novec 1230 fire suppression system.This project will consist of the following: 1) Remove and dispose of existing halon fire suppression system 2) Reuse current components such as piping (where possible) 3) Install new components and Novec 1230 4) Repair and restore all finishes impacted by the removal and
a) CLIN 0001 – 1 Job, Halon Fire Extinguisher Inspection/Maintenance Services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS); b) CLIN 0002 – 1 Lot, Not Priced, Over and Above Work as defined by DFARS 252.217-7028. The purpose of this requirement is to inspect, test, and service the Halon Fire Extinguishers on the Flight-line at Seymour Johnson AFB to ensure its operational effectiveness.
To be considered, interested parties must also submit license/certification for the inspection, maintenance, and testing of halon fire extinguishers in compliance with state and national fire code criteria and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
