1.0 PURPOSE 1.1 The Atlanta Independent School System (hereinafter, “Atlanta Public Schools” or “APS”) invites qualified vendors to submit a proposal to provide Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) three-year re-inspections.
The Kodiak Island Borough requests proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services in the performance of a tri-annual reinspection, updating, and development of Management Plans for Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) compliance for asbestos-containing materials in school facilities around Kodiak Island.

Bid Title:RFP Nashua School District Asbestos Inspections Category:SchoolStatus:Open Description: The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) specifies that buildings within a School District be inspected every three years by a certified consultant firm. The inspection will result in a report updating the Asbestos Management Plan currently in existence for each building.
Pierce County has performed an Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Survey, Exhibit A, to determine the presence of such asbestos-containing materials. Materials containing asbestos cannot be salvaged from the house due to health and safety risk hazards. A copy of the AHERA Survey is included in this RFP. The AHERA Survey identifies and lists the specific materials that contain asbestos.
Due to the time restrictions of the clearance sampling and the turnaround time needed for the areas, the contractor will be conducting phase contrast microscopy (PCM) sampling per Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requirements for non-friable materials.
