    MDT.The heat treating ovens in the section were having problems maintaining AMS standard 2750 guidelines. Heat treatment process effects material mechanical structure and grains. Most metals can be heat treated for the purpose of improving mechanical properties such as tensile and yield strength. This is accomplished due to the heat treatment fundamentally altering the micro-structure of the material.
