These impacts are part of a proposed project to upgrade and widen Seward Meridian Parkway (SMP) from the Palmer-Wasilla Highway to Bogard Road and extend the SMP to Seldon Road. The field is in front of Cottonwood Creek Elementary School in Wasilla, AK and is a recreational area protected under Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation (DOT) Act of 1966.
Contract summary Requires removal of the existing mini-roundabout, re-orientating ramps to connect closer to the bridge overpass, installing a new multi-lane roundabout, road excavation, planing, pigmented concrete installation, paving, curb installation, stormwater work, traffic control and other work.
