The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), is conducting market research to identify firms capable of providing Transactions Liaison Support Services resources (except those identified as government furnished property or assistance) inclusive of labor, supervision and other resources required to provide Technical and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) HealthCare Revenue Cycle Processing Subject Matter Expertise Liaison
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Integrated Veteran Care (IVC) intends to adjudicate pharmacy transactions via Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Compliant Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), utilizing an extensive network of retail pharmacies. This action is conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1 procedures.
HIPAA compliant claims that include with the full HIPAA required data elements for all populated fields from the original 835/837/NCPDP/Dental claim types for each transaction.
Succinctly, VA259-17-D-0190 acquired services related to receiving paper claims and/or paper medical documentation from community health care providers, in a single location, converting these documents to the appropriate HIPAA-compliant EDI transactions and sending these documents to VA s contracted clearinghouse as EDI transactions. This was a small portion of the level of effort (less than 5%).
