The watermains listed above are to be installed by a combination of open-cut methods, including usage of a trench box to limit the proximity to the 10” high pressure gas main, and horizontal directional drilling for the Franklin Boulevard and Mill Creek box culvert crossings. The works also include the installation of a combination air and vacuum release valve.

The City of Miramar is seeking a Contractor to complete the following capacity improvements services to the West Water Treatment Plant Raw Water Main, to include, but not limited to; all necessary labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, installation and incidentals to open cut installation of 791 LF of 16” DIP, 992 LF of 18” DIP, and 685 LF of 24” DIP raw water main, multiple horizontal directional drillings with a total of 1,711 LF of 18”

The new force mains include 855 LF of 30-inch force main installed by horizontal directional drilling. This project is being supported with U.S. Department of the Treasury, American Rescue Plan, Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other Federal requirements are attached to this opportunity.
