The purpose of placing Optimizing Human Weapon System program specialists on base is to reduce frequency and severity of injuries and time lost from service, improve long term quality of life, optimize human performance/readiness, avoid injusry prior to occurrence, increase aircrew prodcution, and support fighter aircrew retention. The labor categories sought are Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, and Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
