Answer: As long as the Ice Melt is a potassium chloride/magnesium chloride blend to use in structures and not sodium chloride it will be fine. The magnesium acts as a corrosion inhibitor allowing the ice to be melted and the potential damage to metal and concrete in the structure to be minimalized.
