CONTRACTOR SELECTION AND INDIGENOUS PARTICIPATION PLAN The Contractor must ensure provision of specific and agreed upon benefits for Indigenous People and Indigenous Businesses in the Area of the Contract. This Invitation to Tender contains bid criteria in order to provide socioeconomic benefits to Indigenous communities within the area covered by the contract.
In addition to the community level initiatives, grants will also be provided to selected CBOs and CSOs to initiate CSO-Government-Private Sector Policy Dialogues to promote the sustainable conservation and development of protected areas, OECMs, indigenous peoples and community-conserved territories and areas (ICCAs).For those who are interested, please review detailed information and develop project concept paper.Submission of hard copy concept paper
This solicitation is open to PSIB Regional Indigenous Businesses and Regional non-Indigenous businesses, evaluation being in that order. If two or more Indigenous Businesses from the Area of the Contract bid, the work package will be restricted to these Indigenous Businesses in the Area of the Contract (PSIB Regional Conditional strategy being implemented).
Scope of work includes installation of a new ice plant, renovations to the mezzanine/kitchen area, accessibility upgrades, energy efficiencies and designated area for Indigenous sports recognition.
Baseline archaeological studies and proactive policies will contribute to the City’s efforts to recognize and honour the deep connection to this area by Indigenous communities, and ensure Indigenous history and connections to these lands are preserved. The contractor will support the work being undertaken jointly by Taku River Tlingit First Nation (TRT FN) and BC to develop the Taku River Watershed Plan in support of TRTFN’s designation of the T’akú Tlatsini Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area (T’akú IPCA) in the Taku watershed. Contract duration The estimated contract period will be 5 month(s).
