The goal of the project is to address guaranteed availability of coverage and to obtain a market scan of Iowa’s individual health insurance market to ensure that approved products are appropriately offered for purchase, coverage is comprehensive and affordable, or whether innovative measures are needed to strengthen the type of coverage provided or to improve access to coverage.
The Division intends to enter into a contract with a service provider to investigate and explore the makeup of Iowa’s individual health market by conducting a market analysis of health coverage and evaluating the gaps and barriers to receiving health care coverage.

It should be used only by state agencies that participate in the OSHR policy.
