The work consists of the demolition of the three Interim Closure Structures at the end of the 17th Street Canal, Orleans Avenue Canal and London Avenue Canal. The work also consists of removal of exposed sheet piling, partial removal of scour protection, concrete capping of an I-Wall, placement of riprap, and other incidental work. The estimated time of completion is 485 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed.
Description HVR-210: The Work under this Contract includes an upgrade of the existing North Entrance, construction of the two new Chemical Addition Facilities (CAF) buildings (CAF-North and CAF-South), two new electrical service feeds and distribution equipment, new flow measurement, a new SCADA system, and interim structures for chemical systems, water quality monitoring systems, and carry water pumps.
