The Contractor will utilize existing departmental data and resources while considering the standards established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); the framework of the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) and the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE); and existing labor agreements with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Rescue Association (MCVFRA).
The Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) developed this accreditation model and has a Technical Advisor Program (TAP) to teach, guide, coach, and advise agencies on continuous quality improvement.
