The requirement is to acquire expert advice and assistance in support of the organization's International Armaments Cooperation (IAC) mission. Please see the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS).
The Foreign Affairs Committee (FAC) is in charge of overall coordination, and works with the International Cooperation and Project Management Secretariat (ICPMS) to plan and deliver the necessary knowledge and capacity-building for NA Members and staff participating in AIPA in 2024.
By centralizing financial and technical project data, JORISS is designed to empower the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) to monitor project progress, funding allocation, and sector-based activities. The system is intended to enhance transparency, enable evidence-based decision-making, and support efficient targeting and prioritization. The JORISS platform was initially commissioned in 2015.
The incumbent has the opportunity to collaborate extensively and at the highest levels with local civil society and grassroots organizations, other USG agencies, international cooperation and a multitude of Paraguayan government entities. Despite a relatively small portfolio, this is a highly visible position with direct access to leadership.
