The FDA's Forensic Chemistry Center in The Office of Regulatory Affairs/Office of Regulatory Science/Medical Products, Tobacco and Specialty Labs (ORA/ORS/OMPTSLO) requires the purchase of one (1) compact High Performance Ion Mobility - Mass Spectrometer system (HPIMS-MS) in support of FDA's proposed increased package inspections for opioid products and drugs at International Mail Facilities (IMFs) and Express Courier Hubs (ECHs).
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office (DSO) is requesting information on ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) systems to support mobile vapor/gas sample collection and analysis from vehicular platforms in support of SIGMA+ program goals.
The ion mobility spectrometer equipped with an electrospray ionization probe and a thermal desorber ionization module requested can be directly interfaced with our existing Thermo Scientific atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometry platforms without any modifications to the mass spectrometry units. This accessory will provide an orthogonal means of identification (drift time) to the mass spectral data.
