USACE New York District (CENAN) is executing the construction of the Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point (FIMP), Contract 2 - Dredging Moriches and Shinnecock Inlets. FIMP Contract 2 is located between Smith Point County Park and Shinnecock Inlet, and includes the following features: inlet sand bypassing, beach fill on Atlantic shorefront, and one coastal process feature (CPF).
Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue a solicitation package seeking to award a firm fixed-price construction contract through the sealed bidding process for the following: The Fire Island inlet to Montauk Point (FIMP) Contract 1 project area extends from Tobay Beach to Robert Moses State Park along the Atlantic Coast of Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Army Corps of Engineers (District) is preparing plans and specifications for the Fire Island Inlet to Moriches Inlet (FIMI) Reach PL 84-99, PIR 2024 Project.FIMI PL 84-99 PIR 2024 is a structural contract that includes repair and restoration of the project to design conditions, including advance fill.

The recommended plan provides for reduction of storm damages from coastal erosion and flooding through the storm risk management berm and dune, and is located in Suffolk County, New York, on the south (Atlantic) shore of Long Island between Moriches Inlet and Shinnecock Inlet. Sand will be dredged from borrow area 6b that is located approximately 5 miles east of Shinnecock Inlet.
